About this event

Please join us by participating in a virtual community conversation on policing, race and social services in Fremont. These community conversations are designed to allow for a dialogue between city staff and the community, and to hear from a wide variety of stakeholders.

At the June 10, 2020 Policing in Our Community Town Hall hosted by Mayor Lily Mei and Police Chief Kimberly Petersen, staff committed to continuing the conversation through additional discussions. Over 800 community members participated in the Town Hall, reflecting strong community interest and passion for this important and timely topic.

A series of interactive discussion group meetings will be convened to provide opportunities for community members to engage in facilitated discussion and dialogue with each other and with City staff. The majority of the meeting time will be spent in virtual breakout groups with facilitators to enable in-depth discussion and dialogue. For that reason, each meeting is limited to 50 participants.

Results from all of the community conversations will be summarized and posted at Fremontpolice.gov/engage.
